Producer

Status: Full-time position

 

We are looking for a Producer to provide overall leadership and influence at a team level while managing one or more components of different projects.

 

Must-have traits include: 

Skills in working with stakeholders to develop project goals, scope, and budget, planing and scheduling project sub-tasks based on limited resources and goals, and an ability to lead a team to the successful execution of such goals. Relevant work experience is an advantage.

The Producer must be highly motivated, extremely well-organized and possess excellent presentation and client management skills, while accurately coordinating the requirements of the project.

S/he must also be self-driven, and able to come up with creative and meaningful solutions to schedule, budget, and people planning.

 

Responsibilities Include

  • Reporting task status to other producers and leads.

  • People allocation and management.

  • Monitor time, quality, cost, and continuous improvement across projects.

  • Communicating and coordinating across departments, reporting progress, dependencies and risks as needed.

  • Organizing and recording meeting activities, and providing actionable notes,

  •  Fostering strong and collaborative relationships with each department to bring projects to completion.

  • Supporting the team by running daily stand-ups, scheduling meetings, taking, sharing and centralizing notes and documentation, and otherwise keeping the team organized and on track.

  • Proactively managing changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.

  • Providing transparency on project status and risks to stakeholders in order to ensure they are properly informed of any potential impacts.

  • Tracking and following up on issues affecting end users and ensure they are being resolved.

  • Interacting with clients and tracking project progress and feedback to ensure quality and timely completion.

  • Other duties as assigned

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • 2+ years of experience in a management role in video games or a related field.

  • Experience in the gaming industry preferred

  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. Smartsheet, Excel, Power BI, Confluence, JIRA, Hansoft, Microsoft Project. etc.)

  • Excellent communication, time-management, and teamwork skills

  • Flexibility and openness to change and new information, adapting behavior and work methods accordingly

  • High English proficiency

  • Japanese language skills a strong plus.

Technical Artist - Rigging and Animation

Status: Full-time position

 

We are looking for talented technical artists with a focus on rigging and animation to work in an exciting new and dynamic international development environment. In terms of technical skills/proficiencies, we'll be looking for them to be able to use:

 

Essential Skills

  • Strong understanding of rigging, skinning and related character technologies.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to work closely in a team setting with other departments.

  • Understanding of human body and facial anatomy.

  • Excellent working knowledge of scripting - Maya Python/PyMEL, and PySide/PyQt GUI design experience (You'll be mainly making tools for the game production team)(If the individual has limited skill in using maya but shows talent we are happy to train them)

  • Modelling/UV

  • Version Control - Git

  • Math skills

 

Bonus Skills
(Having additional skill or experience in the items listed below will earn you additional consideration)

  • Experienced C#/C++, Maya C++ API (Optional, but a bonus if has knowledge or experience)

  • Blender (Optional, but a bonus if has knowledge or experience)

  • Unreal Engine experience

 

Your responsibility will be to make kick ass rigging and animation tools and pipelines for the production team. You should be a good listener and pay close attention to the teams requests, but also most importantly, you should be proactive in understanding how the production team is working and be proactive in creating tools and workflows that can help improve the efficiency of the production team.

The role requires close communication and collaboration with various teams, departments and external partners. We value input and the individual must be responsible, open to constructive feedback as well as be able to communicate constructively to others.

  D Asset Artist

Status: Full-time position

 

We are looking for talented senior 3D artists to work in an exciting new and dynamic international development environment. In terms of technical skills/proficiencies, we’ll be looking for;

 

Essential Skills

  • Maya (a must)

  • Zbrush (a must)

  • Texturing either realistic or stylised (Must be able to model and texture, Realistic is preferred, but extra consideration is given to those that know both)

  • PBR Knoweledge (a must)

  • Can create at least 2 out of the following category; Character/Props/weapons/vehicles (We give extra considerations to those who show skills in both hard surface and organic modelling, e.g. Character and Props)
     

Bonus Skills

(Having additional skill or experience in the items listed below will earn you additional consideration):

  • Substance Painter, Designer or equivalent (we will be using modern texturing techniques heavily in production so support and training will be provided to the successful individual, however, extra consideration will be given to those who have experience already)

  • Blender (Optional, but a bonus if has knowledge or experience)

  • Skinning (Not a must, but is a bonus if you know, we will provide on the job support and training)

  • Houdini (Optional, but a bonus if has knowledge or experience)

  • Unreal Engine/Unity experience (Optional, but a bonus if has knowledge or experience)

  • Marvelous Designer (Optional, but a bonus if has knowledge or experience, but we will use this in production so training and support will be provided)


Your responsibility will be to model, UV, and texture according to the creative direction of the project/briefs. You’ll also be required to individually add to and maintain and update assets in our internal database and toolkit.


We have a structured development program and will actively support the individual and offer them amazing development opportunities and incentives. For our Senior artists, there is the opportunity for them to be used as “Project Leads”, so there is always room and opportunity to grow and develop. We also work with you individually to develop a personal development plan.


We value creativity, and additional consideration will be given to those who that show a level of creativity in there work/thinking and attitude. We are not looking for robots or factory workers! You must be a team player, and hard working, this role requires close communication with the production team and directors. We value input and the individual must be responsible, open to constructive feedback as well as be able to communicate constructively to others.

We are looking for a talented Lead Designer to work in our exciting and dynamic international development environment.

Candidates should possess the following qualities

Essential Requirements:

  • Colloborating and communcating with designers, artists, producers and stake holders to make the game vision a reality

  • Managing a talented team of designers. Hands on reviewing, assisting and mentoring the design team

  • Provide concise and professional feedback to iteratively improve the game

  • Strong Pen and Paper Design Skills

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Strong Scripting skills; Unreal Engine 4 Blue Print preferred

  • 3D Game Development Experience

  • Unreal Engine

  • Strong visual design document skills

  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Ability to work in a colloborative environment and interact successfully with Programmers, Artists, Producers, Designers during the Software development cycle

  • Takes initiative and can self manage

  • Work with Producers to analyze methodology's and generate estimates based on stake holder input

  • We do frequent internal Game Jam's and Rapid prototyping; have the ability to rapid prototype ideas

Ideas can come from anywhere and we are trusting the potential candidate to not only be receptive to input and suggestions but to be the champion of the spirit of the game. Making games is hard, but we can get through this together! The successful candidate should be able to not only have ideas of there own, but be professional enough to know how to collaborate with the team to incorporate ideas that fit the games spirit.

Our different departments and teams often work and communicate frequently and closely with each other; although you'll spend half of your time with some really cool and interesting engineers, you'll also find that in the other half you are communicating very technical aspects of your work to different people and cultures outside of your immediate discipline; therefore, we're looking for someone who is clear, curties, patient and emphatically professional in the way they communicate.
